The Square Rigger Club was formed to provide support in men, material and money for the Sea Cadet's square rigged sail training brig TS Royalist.
TS ROYALIST, the square-rigged sail training brig of the Sea Cadets, was designed by Colin Mudie RDI and launched in 1971. Built of steel, with an overall length of 97ft and with magnificent lines, she is a beautiful sight and is often seen sailing the coastal waters of the United Kingdom.
Formed to support the ship, the Square Rigger Club raises funds for the ship and assists the Sea Cadets with a bursary scheme. However, the members also can enjoy the thrill of sailing in TS Royalist during a number of charters organised for adults during each year. Details of these are provided on the 'Charters' page of this web site.
If you are interested in joining the Square Rigger Club or know somebody who would like to be a member, please print out the Application Form (in Acrobat Reader format) HERE and post it to the Membership Secretary.
